The Edmonton Folk Music Festival has been a cherished event since 1980, growing from a small gathering of 300 volunteers to one of the world's leading folk festivals with over 2600 volunteers today. Located in Gallagher Park, Edmonton, we celebrate diverse, affordable folk music, fostering community among artists, volunteers, and festival-goers.
Our mission is to provide a platform for outstanding folk music, enhance access to live performances, and cultivate meaningful experiences. We recognize and honor the land we gather on, part of Treaty Six territory, where Indigenous Peoples have converged for centuries. The festival is a not-for-profit society dedicated to bringing the best music from around the world while keeping ticket prices accessible for all families in Edmonton.
